Greening Greater Toronto’s Commitment to Buy Green program encourages organizations to continuously improve the environmental sustainability of their purchasing decisions. The program was developed by the Green Procurement Leadership Council, a group of 45 public and private sector purchasing executives, environmental experts, academics and industry representatives. Given its business and environmental benefits, they believe that this is a program that industry can and should spearhead. By signing the Commitment to Buy Green, leading Canadian organizations will motivate and inspire other organizations to follow suit.
